These terms govern your use of theoneaccountant.com. Engagements for professional services are governed separately by a signed engagement letter, which takes precedence over anything on this page.
Information, not advice
Everything published on this site — including the blog, the FAQs and the answers on the Ask The Accountant page — is general information about UAE tax, accounting and compliance. It is not advice on your circumstances and must not be relied on as such. Tax law changes; figures, thresholds and deadlines stated here were accurate on the date shown on the page. No client relationship is created by reading this site or submitting a form.
The automated assistant
The assistant on the Ask The Accountant page is software, not a person. It answers by matching your question against questions our team has already answered. It can be wrong, it can be out of date, and it does not know your specific facts. Confirm anything material with a member of our team before acting on it.
Fees and quotations
Prices published on this site are indicative, exclusive of 5% UAE VAT, and based on the transaction volumes and scope stated. They are not an offer capable of acceptance. Your fee is the one set out in your engagement letter.
Intellectual property
The content, design and code of this site belong to The One Accountant. You may read, print and share pages for your own business use. Republishing substantial portions commercially requires written consent.
Liability
To the extent permitted by UAE law, The One Accountant is not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published on this site. Liability under a signed engagement is limited as set out in that engagement letter.

We link to the Federal Tax Authority, the Ministry of Finance and other external sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction.
