This policy explains what The One Accountant does with the information you give us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
What we collect
When you complete a form on this site we collect your name, company name, mobile number, email address, the service you selected and anything you write in the message field. We also record the page the form was submitted from and, where present, the advertising campaign parameters in the page address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, gclid, fbclid). If you contact us on WhatsApp, the message content and your number are held in that conversation.
Analytics tools record standard technical information: approximate location derived from IP address, device type, browser, referring page and the pages you view. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
Documents you upload
The free assessment offers an optional trade licence upload. It is optional in the real sense — the assessment produces the same recommendation without it, and nothing is withheld if you skip it. If you do attach a licence, we use it only to confirm the details you typed and to quote more precisely.
Uploaded documents are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored by our website host alongside the rest of the submission. We delete them within 90 days unless you become a client, in which case the document moves into your client file and is kept under the retention terms of your engagement letter. You can ask us to delete an uploaded document sooner by emailing info@theoneaccountant.com, and we will confirm when it is done.
Please do not upload passports, Emirates ID copies, bank statements or anything else containing personal identification or financial data through this form. It is built for a trade licence. When we need those documents we will ask for them through a secure channel.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, and — if you become a client — to deliver the services you engage us for. We contact you about your enquiry. We do not add you to a marketing list without a separate opt-in, and every marketing message carries an unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
Your data is shared only with the service providers that make this site and our practice work: our form and email provider, our analytics provider, our accounting and practice-management software, and — where the engagement requires it — regulators such as the Federal Tax Authority, licensing authorities and banks, acting on your instruction. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted after 24 months. Client records are retained for the period required by UAE law, which for accounting and tax records is a minimum of seven years from the end of the relevant financial year, and five years for AML records after the relationship ends.
Your rights
Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Write to info@theoneaccountant.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for analytics and, where advertising is running, for conversion measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site continues to function without them.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with providers that maintain industry-standard controls. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. Do not send passwords, full bank credentials or Emirates ID scans through the website contact form — we will tell you how to transfer those securely once an engagement begins.
