Ethics, generally the study of good or right conduct. Those who follow moral law constantly say to themselves: “I ought to have done this, I ought not to have done that”, “I ought to be this, I ought not to be that.”
This ethics is a habitual incentive for self improvement. There lies it’s strength. Again, this very “oughtness” constitutes its limitations.
